JUNE 2020 - DURING THE CORONA VIRUS OUTBREAK WE ARE TRYING TO OPERATE AS NEAR NORMAL SERVICE AS POSSIBLE, HOWEVER WE WILL BE MANAGING MOST CASES REMOTELY BY TELEPHONE, TEXT MESSAGING OR E-CONSULT RATHER THAN SEEING FACE TO FACE. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PRESENT AT THE SURGERY IF YOU HAVE A FEVER OR COUGH. YOU WILL NEED TO FOLLOW THE PUBLIC HEALTH SELF/HOUSEHOLD ISOLATION RULES

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
