Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurse runs clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carries out cervical smears.

Healthcare Assistants

Kate Hymers
Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Community Midwives

Elaine Robus

The midwife provides advice, care and support for women, their partners and families during the pre-conceptual, antenatal, intranatal and post natal periods. The midwife is responsible for newborns until the twenty-eighth day when care transfers to a health visitor.  Appointments are available on Wednesday morning only.

Community Nurses

The Kent Community NHS Health Trust provides our District Nursing services.  They provide nursing services in the patient’s home.  They visit patients in their own homes to assess their individual nursing and health care needs. The ongoing care is provided by the nursing team and is regularly evaluated.

Health Visitors

The Health Visitor can provide support and information from the moment the midwife discharges you until your child starts school.

Attached Staff

We also have the services of a Physiotherapist and Counsellor on site.
